Pelecas Country Club

Pelecas Country Club a mere 8 km from Corfu town lies the Velianiti family mansion, enveloped by lush green hills. A beautiful 19th century stone-built house on a 20 hectare land, complete with an olive press and stables, which was very lovingly refurbished into a bespoke, luxury private retreat, with full consideration of its history and with authenticity being its main attribute.

This is the main building. It has all its authentic characteristics and the colours of its era. The signature red, faded away through time, and original furniture, mainly from the British rule and the ties the family had with Florence.

Walking to the rear of the Mansion, you will reach the separate entrance leading up to the “Casa Padronale”, on the first floor. This used to be the family’s residence during summer months. On the ground floor, you will find a recreation room as well as the Florentine dining room (the Sagrado) with a large monastery table, where guests can savour a delicious home-made breakfast with marmalades and jams prepared to the old family recipes of Nonna Lina, mouth-watering pies and tarts and fresh vegetables from the garden!

The Country Club offers a range of services and comforts intended to make your stay more enjoyable. We offer daily maid service, while bedsheets and towels are changed every two days.
Savour our marvellous breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetables from the estate, marmalades and jams made to old family recipes, mouth-watering pies and tarts, cereals and other local dishes. If you want to go online, you can use the free Wi-Fi network. As we are in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the speed offered by the provider is limited.

You can enjoy a relaxing dip in the Country Club’s pool, sipping a refreshing beverage from the bar. The bar opens at one in the afternoon. The Pelecas Country Club tennis court is always at your disposal. And if you forgot to bring your rackets, you can just borrow ours.

The corfiot landscape’s nature, dyed in all tints of green, cypress trees, fruit trees, the vine pergola, the olive grove, the pine tree on the hilltop, they all take you on a journey in nature’s serenity.
Walking in the estate and alongside the Mansion, you can admire the lovely corfiot strawberries, a local variety with stunning flavour and aroma, the cassias, which are small, inviting corfiot bullaces, and bitter oranges, that we pick, when the time is right, to make our jams. The field of the estate stretches in front of the “Larione”.

Behind the Loutrouvio there are wild cherries and our vegetable garden where we grow potatoes, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, water melons, etc. If you enjoy herbs (mint, lavender, thyme, oregano), just take a tour of the estate and you will discover them.
